Support Tribe Meeting

Gathering Perspectives on Cultural Identity for Film Production

On Thursday of last week, we held the Support Tribe Meeting at the Ubuntopia Flagship Store in Zaltbommel, The Netherlands. The main objective of this meeting was to gather perspectives and personal stories from multicultural experts in their journey of discovering their cultural identity. Furthermore, having a group of experts by experience strengthens our position when submitting the pitch.

Meeting Details

A diverse group of 12 experts with unique perspectives on cultural identity attended the meeting. The experts came from different nationalities, ages, and family compositions. The meeting fostered open and inclusive discussions, where participants shared personal stories, cultural traditions, and the challenges they faced in understanding and embracing their heritage. The topics explored during the meeting included participants' experiences of realizing they were multiracial and the dos and don'ts of the film production.
The meeting provided a safe and respectful environment that empowered the experts to freely share their experiences and insights. These valuable insights can be directly incorporated into the film script to enhance its authenticity, depth, and resonance with audiences. The intention is for Aimée, the movie character, to become a role model for the audience through the incorporation of these insights.

Next Step

Film Director Dennis Bots will incorporate the knowledge gained from these insights into the film pitch, which we intend to submit to NTR in October.
